Dr. David D. Schein is the author of The Decline of America: 100 Years of Leadership Failures. He is an established educator, author and speaker. This heavily documented, non-partisan book evaluates the leadership and ethical decisions of the last 100 years of American Presidents. The book provides carefully researched and presented facts which will hopefully support meaningful discussion and debate regarding the future of the United States.

As of September 2018, the book has already been adopted by the following public library systems: Dallas, TX; Herndon, VA; Hennepin County, MN; Houston, TX; Monroe County, IN; New Castle, DE; Norfolk, VA; Reading, PA; Roanoke, VA; and Williamsburg, VA (Pending).

It is under consideration by another half-dozen library systems. Numerous university libraries have already added the book to their collections. The book is published by Post Hill Press and is distributed by Simon & Schuster.

Dr. Schein has strong ties to Virginia and Texas. From a US Navy family, he was an Honors Graduate of Norview High School in Norfolk. He is a double alumnus of UVA, earning his MBA at The Darden Graduate School of Business and his Ph.D. at the Curry School of Education. He earned his law degree at the University of Houston Law Center. After a distinguished corporate and private practice career at locations around the United States, he returned to Virginia and taught at the University of Richmond and Virginia State University. He is a licensed attorney and real estate broker in Virginia and Texas. Dr. Schein is presently Director of Graduate Programs and an Associate Professor at the Cameron School of Business of the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX.
